Vincennes

Earlier this week Brian accompanied Nathan and his class on a field trip to Vincennes, IN.  They saw several historical sites.  Here are a few highlights:

Samuel is 2!

Our big boy Samuel started out his birthday celebration by picking a big balloon at the store.  He played with it off and on all day!

Having his cake and eating it too!

The Hunt

Every year we have an Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's house.  This was Samuel's first year to really participate and he was VERY into it!  He LOVED finding eggs!  All the kids enjoy this and Daddy makes sure that Nathan's eggs are a bit more challenging to find than the eggs for the younger kids!

Easter Morning

Lucas was very tired after checking out all the fun things the Easter Bunny brought him on his first Easter morning!
His big brothers and big sister enjoyed their Easter baskets as well!

Our Easter Bunnies

Oh, and the BIG news for the day is that Nathan realized the truth about the Easter Bunny (and Santa too).  We've known for a while that this was coming so we weren't surprised.  He thinks it's pretty cool to be in on the secrets now.

Here comes Peter Cottontail

PB Pie

Every April and September my Mom and I make a trip to gift shop/restaurant in a nearby town to enjoy the best peanut butter pie around.  We get a free piece during our birthday month and I think we've been doing this since Emma was a baby.  Emma looks forward to this special treat also.  This time, Samuel had his very own piece and ate every bite!  He even used the last of it as dip for his raisins and pretzels!

Spring Break

I'm a bit behind on our blog.  It's been a crazy couple of weeks!
We spent part of our spring break week (last week) in Indianapolis for a mini vacation.  In case you didn't know, the Indianapolis Children's Museum is the World's Largest Museum!  We spent time there two different days but still didn't see everything!
Samuel enjoyed all the different play areas, especially those that involved digging, climbing, pouring, sliding or feeding babies:
Yes, he slid down head first and backwards on his stomach!
Emma was thrilled with the Dora & Diego display
She thought the Barbies were pretty cool too:
Nathan knew he wanted to climb the rock wall, and he did a great job!
Daddy holding the rope:
And Lucas, well, he just hung out and was his usual adorable self.
Chewing on Mama's hand
So, we survived our first vacation as a family of 6!  It did not involve much sleep, but we did all enjoy getting away.
