The nursery

The boys love the nursery at church, though I'm a little unsure about their child restraint methods.  lol

Disney on Ice

Grandma, Nathan, Emma and I had an AMAZING time last weekend at Disney on Ice!
They SURE know how to put on a SHOW!

Grandma thought it was neat to see Nathan on the edge of his seat some of the time
{Grandma WAS too!}

We sat in the Girl Scout section because we went as one of Emma's troop activities.  We had no idea we'd have such great seats!

Watchers

#2

Emma FINALLY lost tooth #2 (lower front left).  It has been really loose since long before Christmas but she hasn't really wanted it to come out.   It was a bit of a surprise to her when it did happen!
The new tooth is already about 3/4 in.
It's so tiny you can barely see it on her small tooth fairy pillow!

All About Lucas

Our dear, sweet, active, rambunctious, loving, challenging, kissable TWO YEAR OLD...
Favorite books at this age:  The Big Hungry Bear, Easy Street, Dinosaur Roar, look-and-find books, Tonka books, touch and feel books and lift-a-flap books.
8-10 word sentences are not uncommon for this little chatter box.  He repeats most of what he hears whether he understands what is being said or not.

His favorite things to do are walk, run, climb up/down, get in/out of anything and everything!
Especially clothes and pajamas!
Lucas usually takes his socks off at nap time and when I go into get him, he has one on his hand.  He has yet to figure out how to get the other one on too.
He eats great and thoroughly enjoys his food.  His most requested foods are yogurt, peanut butter sandwich, "cutie pies", and bananas.
He is funny, smiley, and gives the best hugs and kisses.
Behind his back Brian and I affectionately refer to him as "Mr. Destructo."  We are hoping to trade this name in for something a little more desirable in the next year or so.

One thing that is indisputable, Lucas LOVES his siblings and wants to do just about anything they do.

Lucas loves "Mickey Mouse Pubhouse" though he doesn't actually sit still to watch it for more than a few minutes.  We like to hear him talk about Mickey, Donald Duckie, and Goosy.

He still likes to cuddle and rock in the rocking chair.  He hugs me and says, My Mommy!"  It melts me.

He plays with cars, trains, blocks, puzzles, play food and dishes, "guys" and cuddles stuffed animals when he goes to sleep.

Freeze

3:52 This Makes Me Want to Freeze Time
A few days ago she came to me and said, "I realized this at school today... when I grow up I want to be a princess... a REAL princess... with my own room, beautiful dresses shoes and crowns... and riding in a carriage..."

My little princess is growing up way to fast.  I so cherish these dress-up days.

X's 2

Last grading period Nathan was so happy to have scored the highest in the class on their xylophone test.  This gave him not only "bragging rights" but the opportunity to be Section Leader (the one who counts them down to begin each song).  A new grading period meant a new test and a new Section Leader so Nathan carted his xylophone home to practice as much as he could.  His practice paid off-- he is Section Leader again!  Good job Nathan!
(Not his actual xylophone)

Lucas turns TWO!

Lucas thoroughly enjoyed his birthday and especially his party!  He was totally into his cake, the candles, his presents, and being TWO!

Practice

Lucas spent the days before his birthday "practicing"... he walked around with our toy birthday cake singing and blowing out the candles. He kept saying he was going to "have my candles!" How exciting!
Oh yeah, and then there was the pea-up-the-nose incident... Thankfully it came out on its own after we waited at the doctor's for an hour...

A new project

As I begin a new photo project for 2013, I thought I would post my favorites from the One Every Seven Photo Challenge I did in 2012.  I'm so glad I participated in it, as it helped me to think outside the box and stretched me in many ways regarding photography.

For 2013 I have chosen to participate in a This Is Our Life {a Let's Do 52 Project}  (one picture a week for 52 weeks), that focuses on Lifestyle Photography.

Hello Frosty!

A couple of inches of fresh snow motivates Daddy to make us one AWESOME SNOWMAN!

Nathan met frosty the next day and thought it was pretty cool that they were roughly  the same size:
