Palm Sunday

One of my favorite traditions at church occurs on Palm Sunday.  I've posted about this in the past, but this year was extra special because all four of our children participated.  We also had Nathan's friend Nathan G with us (he's holding Samuel's hand in the first clip).
Emma didn't necessarily want to be videoed, and I was just trying to show the group of children... How I love to see all these young ones parading through the church praising God!

Lucas's first movie in the theater!

It is true that the youngest child often gets to do things sooner than the older ones did... We've seen this progression from number 1 kid down to number 4... and though we stick to our guns on certain issues, there are other times that we just go with it...
Nathan & Emma saw their first movies (Curious George and Winnie-the-Pooh: the search for Christopher Robin) after they turned 5.  Samuel saw Frozen when he was 4 1/2.  Lucas got to join the whole family (and Nathan G) to see Home when he was 4 years and 2 mos or so.  He LOVED the whole experience and we all enjoyed being together for this silly, delightful movie.

This was how we celebrated the beginning of Spring Break

Nathan's first real concert

Brian took Nathan and his buddy Spenser to Winter Jam!  They all loved it!

There was another event a few weeks ago that Nathan was finally old enough to attend with Brian.  It was the National Men's Conference: Iron Sharpens Iron, held right in our city!  Nathan was really impressed with it!  They listed to some awesome speakers and learned so much!
This is Ray McElroy, who formerly played for the Colts and the Bears. He was one of the speakers.

Nathan has been reading a really good book by Navy Seal Chad Williams who also spoke there.

Marvel-ous

Spring Begins

We've had some very springy weather and the kids have enjoyed breaking out the riding toys, scooters, and skateboards...

St. Patrick's Day

We celebrated St. Patrick's day with our usual green clothes and green food.  It was a good day.

We went to a home school art show that evening -- Emma and Samuel each received a GREEN (Art award) ribbon!

Cinderella

Grandma & I took Emma to see the new "real people" Cinderella movie.  It was wonderful!

Puppy heaven

A friend of mine fosters dogs.  She recently got a pregnant dog who gave birth to 14 puppies!  I took the kids to see the 13 survivors that are now 3 1/2 weeks old.   They were in love!

Emma had a couple of cute favorites
Samuel pretty much had a lap full of puppies the whole time
Lucas liked them too, but was more fascinated by the dog cage.

When the snow melts

And lots of rain pours down on top of it...
You end up with mud, mud, and more mud.

What could be more fun for a couple of little boys?

Latest project

Celebrating Dr. Suess

Last week we celebrated our beloved Dr. Suess's birthday with some Suess school activities.  We also played our Cat-in-the-hat-opoly!  What fun!

Perfect time to break out Lucas's new shoes!

Snow Day!  Yay!  No school!
Nathan & Emma (and Daddy) made a cool fort
I love this picture of Nathan bracing for Dad's snowball
