Fly Guy

For quite a while now, Lucas has loved the Fly Guy series of books.  He even has a stuffed Fly Guy.  The librarian at their school has a "giant fly guy" stuffie that Lucas has been crazy about since he first saw it.  The other day the librarian told him that he could check it out like a book.  This was something we had to do in secret because she didn't want to start something with all the other kids.  We sneaked him out in a large bag.  Lucas was THRILLED!  

 We overheard so many cute conversations between big Fly Guy and little Fly Guy.  Lucas said, "big Fly Guy thinks I'M Buzz!" (Buzz is Fly Guy's human friend in the book)

 At night little FG slept under big FG's wing in Lucas's bed.  

Integrity

We couldn't be more proud of Emma, being nominated for the character award Integrity!

Spelling Bee

Emma's teacher chose her to represent their class in the 4-6th grade spelling bee.  She came home with a list of 500 words to look over for the next day!  They had a mock spelling bee in her class to determine which student would join Emma.  She was nervous, but did a SUPER job!

(It happened to be pajama day)

She came in 5th!   She got out on a 7th grade word-- "Inconceivable"!  

Way to go Emma!
