Our whole town is covered with a thick layer of ice! School has been out since the storm began and few have gotten back to their normal routines. It will take higher temperatures to melt this as it really isn't something you can dig your way out of. The kids and I have pretty much stayed home. Driving isn't nearly as dangerous though as walking out our front door! This afternoon Emma and I went outside to get the mail and then thought better of it. I don't think we would've made it to the mailbox and back without one or both of us falling. So instead we just "ice skated" for a bit on the sidewalk and she picked up icicles that the high winds blew off the house and trees the other night.
