SNOW trip!

If you know our family very well then you know that we are crazy about snow... literally CRAZY about it... crazy enough to drive 6+ hours on very little notice just to have some time to play in a decent amount of snow.  We are blessed to have relatives (Brian's family) who live in Wisconsin where they can actually count inches of snow on the ground.  The moment we heard they had a fresh 8 inches, we started longing... then toying with the idea of a spur-of-the-moment trip.  I told Brian IF he gave the word I could have us all packed and ready to go in 1 hour.  After some deliberation (this WAS Saturday afternoon after all), he gave the word.  One hour and 5 minutes later we were on our way with some VERY excited kids on the lookout for that fluffy white stuff!
We enjoyed every minute of our visit with Grandma & Grandpa B, Owen, Emmett, Uncle Jordan, and Aunt Sarah, and our kiddos got a good dose of what Brian and I consider "true winter."  It somehow missed us where we live.
Though it was a bit of a whirlwind trip (we left for home about 37 hours after arriving there), it was well worth it!
SNOW PLAY
Lucas going for a ride (he almost fell asleep in the sled)
Samuel preferred to ride the dump truck on the driveway, into a snow pile, and down a mini "snow mountain"!
Emma and I played "king of the mountain" for-ever and had a blast!
Samuel and Emma got to go sledding with Dad, Uncle Jordan and Owen.  They loved it!  Here they are with Owen, ready to go!
Mom stayed back to hang out with Lucas, Grandma, Aunt Sarah, and sweet Emmett:
Speaking of sweet...

Now I suppose we can accept that spring is near!
