Stack

Since the first week of January I have participated in a photography challenge called One Every Seven !  Each week we have a new assignment to go out and take a picture of a certain subject or that meets some criteria.  This is usually not a real time consuming project.  Often I submit a picture of one of my kids or something that is easily accessible.  Topics so far have included circle, close, hands, and change.  The theme for last week was stack, but it also had to be at sunset and in a new location.  It took me a few days to decide what to stack and then I had a hard time settling on the right spot.  Finally I was set and my dear husband watched the little boys while Emma and I trekked off to attempt what I had imagined.

I must say it was more difficult that I had thought and I got off to a rough start, but in the end I was able to stack 70+ Hot Wheels and get the shots I wanted before the wall of cars toppled.
Brian contributed some of his old Hot Wheels collection, as did each of our kids.  We also borrowed some from my Mom that were new and a few that may have belonged to my brother.
The result:  a collage of our family car collection!  How cool is that?
I think I'm going to frame this for the little boys' room!
