Emma and I took off on Friday night for a little "girl's night out" in a nearby city. After an early dinner at DQ, we went swimming at an recreation/aquatics center that had a small indoor water park. It was just right for Emma.
I didn't have little boys to watch or hold so Emma had my undivided attention!!-- that is a rare occurrence and something she truly relished!
We got back to the hotel early enough to make popcorn and watch a little tv before bed. Emma couldn't believe how soft and "pluffy" the (5) pillows were!

The next morning after breakfast at the hotel we did a little shopping at various stores we like. We got a special snack at Barnes & Nobles and ate it while we read through a pile of books she picked to entertain us.
What my cell phone and camera could not capture were the times we skipped through parking lots holding hands... Emma grinning ear to ear...
At lunch time we saw a neat field beside the restaurant and decided to have a mini photo session.
I gave Emma a turn with the camera and she acted like a pro. She took the picture, looked at it and said, "That is beautiful! I am such an awesome photographer!" What a sweetie!
It was a very special time for Mommy and girl. How I cherished our time together...
