The other day I set out some paper and paints for the kiddos. They each got right to work. Lucas made two very colorful paintings and Emma worked hard on a picture of she and I as aliens, wearing special glasses.
After a while Samuel asked what color he should use for Mars. He had painted the outline of the Solar System, complete with the sun, all the planets, the asteroid belt, the moon, and stars. I was impressed!
His completed painting:
Before bed that night I asked what made him think about painting the planets. He said it was the picture of the moon on my camera that I showed him the night before.
