Goodbye sweet Clydette

Poor little Clydette had been ill for a couple of months.  We knew she wasn't going to be with us much longer so we took a few last pictures.  She will be missed.

Skunk hat

While we were working on our sewing projects, Nathan got inspired to come up with his own creation.  He took a couple of small furs he had gotten a few years ago and sewed them to a stocking cap.  The result was rather cool:

Thanksgiving break projects

We decided to do a little sewing over Thanksgiving break.  Each kiddo picked a character they wanted to make and we dug right in with rough drawings, fleece, pins, needles and thread...

Nathan and Emma used Emma's sewing machine

Thanksgiving

We had a different kind of Thanksgiving, missing some of our family that we are used to seeing, but those who were there had a crazy, yummy time, as usual!

Emma gave a mini piano concert... sitting just the way I used to!

First Snow-prise of the year

We knew there might be flurries... and maybe a dusting, but didn't expect much.  The kids were still super excited when we saw the big flakes falling.  They were in their pajamas, but I told them they better go outside-- "this might be the only snow we get until February!"

We watched and waited...
It was wonderful
And it didn't stop!

Our "Pun'kin tree" looked so beautiful...

What a FABULOUS day!

Pre-K Thanksgiving Lunch

We got to join Lucas at his school for an early Thanksgiving lunch!  He had made a Thanksgiving hat and placemat.

They did a little program with a poem, song and a prayer.  I wasn't quick enough to video it, but another mom sent me her video.

This is Lucas saying his prayer at home.

BFFs

Emma had Bethany over to spend the night on a school day so they could go to a Veteran's Day event together (that wasn't actually on Veterans Day).  They spent some of their time baking cookies for the Veterans...

They also had to do school together the next day...
They had a little free time too
