This is part of a poster Nathan made at school that tells some of the cool things about him. I particularly liked this part because he listed three of his good traits:
We've had some really good conversations with Nathan lately and it just thrills our hearts that he has such a good self image. He is secure in himself and his family{s} and knows just how much he is loved! This is Nathan's last year of elementary school-- can you believe that? We know that middle school can be tough and the various pressures and conflicts can take a toll on a kid and impact how he feels about himself. Parents can't control everything that influences their child's self esteem- All we can do is give them a good foundation and then follow up with honesty and encouragement along the way.
Nathan came home from school one day this week eager to practice (plucking) his viola:
He still likes it!
