About 1 1/2 weeks ago I asked Emma if her {barely} loose tooth from months before was any more wiggly. She let me check and I discovered that it was VERY loose in deed! Not only that but I could see and feel the "big" tooth already coming in behind it! Emma was initially rather unhappy about it. I think she was just nervous as this was her very first truly loose tooth and it came about so suddenly. She felt better later that day and wiggled it now and then. Several days later our dentist told us to really work on it and if it didn't come out in one week we would need to bring her in so he could pull it. None of us wanted that situation, so we did work at it pretty hard. Poor Emma was so frustrated-- she SO wanted to pull it out herself but just couldn't quite get it done. In the end she asked if I would just "pop" it out and that's exactly what I did. Sunday evening she lost her first tooth!
See the new one peeking through the hole?
Not only did she lose her tooth, but it was actually lost for about 20 minutes! After we rinsed it, I was helping Emma stop the little bit of bleeding in her mouth and before we knew it, Lucas grabbed the little bowl it was in and flung it somewhere in the bathroom. Emma handled this pretty well and I scoured the bathroom and hallway floors for a long time. Just when I was about to give up, I found it! We were thrilled to finally use the little Tinkerbell pocket pillow we found a couple of years ago and have saved just for this!
