Last Thursday night we got a little snow, ice, and freezing rain. It wasn't really enough to cause major problems but since public schools were scheduled early release on Friday and couldn't accept a morning delay so the entire day was cancelled. Emma was thrilled to wake up and find that she didn't have school. I think we were out the door to play in the snow by 8:30am! They had a blast!
"Boys are found everywhere-on top of, underneath, inside of, climbing on, swinging from, running around or jumping to. A boy is Truth with dirt on its face, Beauty with a cut on its finger, Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair and the Hope of the future with a frog in its pocket." -- Alan Marshall Beck
We have had some crazy weather this winter, including days the kids could go outside without a jacket! This was one such day in January when they decided that ballet and mud puddles would make a fun combination...
On Sunday Grandma and I took Emma to see the musical Oz starring some friends of hers from church. Lizzy was a munchkin and a resident of Oz, David and Jonathan were fighting trees. It was at a local children's theater and was a great performance. We all really enjoyed it!
Emma was so excited that the Cowardly Lion waved at her after the show. We also ran into Auntie Em at Wendy's afterwards.
