We realized that our summer was slipping away and we hadn't had the oh-so-fun-and-come-to-be-expected-summer-theme-days! So, I told the kids we could still have one if they could all agree on the same theme (so ONE day instead of TWO or THREE or FOUR) and if we could schedule it for Labor Day, which was the next available day we would all be home together. They agreed!
We were happy that Dad was off work so he could join in the fun as well! The morning began with the usual trip to our small local Labor Day parade.
It's really all about the candy!
We had some kind of pokemon food for breakfast. Samuel picked these out.
The characters for the day were:
Garbador
Pichu
Groudon
Mega Blastoise
Misty & Ash
Lunch
We played games...
Made things...
(Nathan's)
And we had a special visitor... Matron
She was quite the funny lady and brought several treats:
The kids hunted for Pokeballs (really Easter eggs)
There were some little Pokemon guys inside the eggs
We wound up the day with Pokeball dinner
They all agreed... It was a SUPER FUN day!
