Moving Day

I have had this book for years in hopes that we would need it at some point.  Lucas had us read it several times, and Samuel liked it as well.

We took small loads to the new house in the week following closing, and then we had one big MOVING DAY-  it was INCREDIBLE!  We knew a few people would come help but we were amazed to count 25 in addition to our family!  Most were from our church Sunday school class and youth group, but a few were just friends.  They did a ton of work!   We returned the moving van by 6pm that night and we were pretty much done.
The night before we moved I forgot to keep some clothes for the boys to wear the next morning, so they had to wear thier PJ's to the new house to find some clothes.  Lucas loved his outfit and played outside for quite a while before changing clothes.

The younger three helped some and also spent some time at Grandma's.  When they came back, Emma and Samuel had cards for us:

When we packed up the last of our belongings, I found this...

Left intentionally all over our house while Brian and I were on our honeymoon 11 years ago.  How fitting to find one on our way out...

Our youth pastor and his wife set up our bed so we were able to sleep comfortably that night.  The kids slept on the playroom floor with sleeping bags.
