After school one day last week our sweet Emma announced that she had asked Jesus into her heart. There is nothing she will ever do that will bring her Daddy and I more joy than this!
The next day I was looking through some recent photos and ran across this one, taken a week and a half ago. She and I took a walk and were waiting for a friend, taking some pictures to pass the time. I told her to look up and she put her hands up to her chin... I snapped a couple of shots and then we moved on to something else...
This is exactly how I envision her heart toward the Lord as she accepted His love and grace into her life and became a child of God...
At church on Sunday Emma drew this picture and said, "Mama, this is me asking Jesus into my heart!" I don't think I've ever seen her draw such a big smile!
