It seems that summer flew by this year!
We had some big changes to adjust to this year with Nathan starting middle school and Emma beginning Kindergarten. Both kids were excited to begin this new chapter in their lives. Nathan was a bit nervous about finding his classes and getting to each of them on time, but he handled his first day just great! He's looking forward to playing sports this year and we are happy that his middle school is a bit closer to us than his elementary school was.
Emma was a little unsure about how long her day would be (pre-K let out at 11am and Kindergarten gets out at 3pm), but she was really looking forward to eating lunch at school and making new friends.
When I picked her up she said, "My day wasn't fun Mom, it was AWESOME!"
Now I just have to get used to her being gone all day... :(
