Little did my family know that late at night I magically scored a much desired reservation for breakfast the next morning. When everyone woke up we headed toward Disney for an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at Chef Mickey's!
The food was oh-so-good!
But that wasn't the best part! We had some very special visitors come right to our table, sign autographs, and pose for pictures!
Emma was beside her self with excitement! The boys were all thrilled as well! Once the characters came near us Lucas decided he was happier on my lap than right in the middle of the action. But he did enjoy having his autograph books signed and he did wave and blow kisses.
The autograph books
Nathan received some special attention!
Lucas decided to join us for a picture with his pal Mickey:
Samuel scored many pats on the head!
Back at his own seat now and here they come again... Donald... he's not so bad... Pluto... Mama, he's touching me! Goofy... okay, now I'm done !
On round two Samuel got lots of kisses!
Lucas later said that he only liked Minnie!
This was one of the few times it rained while we were on vacation, so after brunch we walked through the gift shops that were across the hall from Chef Mickey's. Oh, and we had our first glimpse of the Cinderella Castle!
By the time the sky cleared we were ready to head to Downtown Disney for a little shopping. The kids had been saving their money for quite some time and we told them they could buy one thing that day if they found something they wanted.
Besides the World's largest licensed Disney store, there was a cool Lego store with some really fun displays.
The Magic Mirror
Lucas ran right up to Cinderella!
The each found something worthy of a little spending money and Mom and Dad bought each of the kids a new Christmas ornament for this year-- Disney themed of course!
We wrapped up our day with a swim, dinner, and early bedtime for all!
