We really enjoy April Fool's Day around here.
The kids woke up to a surprise breakfast...
Emma was initially worried this meant we were getting a dog today... she had plans to hide in her room all day long!
It didn't take much convincing to get them to eat it though... only Lucas was a bit reluctant at first but at more than his fair share of dog bones once he got started. The bowls were full of Cocoa Puffs and Scooby grahams of course!
We went to the children's museum for the morning... more on that later, and then were home for lunch.
This really got them! Samuel wanted to know what I put in his peanut butter sandwich... They were all pleased to find out that it was vanilla pound cake with orange dream icing! (No I didn't let them eat the whole thing in one sitting!)
They liked the wormy apples, but the fries were not a big hit... they didn't care for cinnamon & sugar coated, baked apples cut to look like fries. That's okay though... I filled their tummies with some other more normal foods as well. :)
We heard lots of joking from these guys all day long. It was fun!
