The Performance

Emma has thoroughly enjoyed her second year of dance.  This year she decided on a tap/jazz class in addition to a ballet class.  She found that she really enjoys jazz, but tap is not her favorite and for the big recital this class did a tap routine.  At first she wasn't thrilled with this, but she WAS so excited to have two parts in the show and TWO different costumes!  Ballet was still her favorite so she will be continuing with that in the future.

This year the recital was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a childhood favorite of mine.  Emma was an All Day Sucker (tap), and a Toy Doll (ballet).

Once again, she did a great job performing two nights in a row in front of hundreds of people each night!  There was some drama when her tap class took the stage the first night.  Another dancer took Emma's spot insisting it belonged to her.  It could've gotten really ugly, but dear Emma did the right thing-- she moved to another spot and did her routine.  We were SO proud of how she handled herself!  (This was all straightened out for the show on the second night so Emma was able to be in the right spot).

The grand finale:

On the second night, we had special visitors... Grandma & Grandpa B!  Emma was SO excited that they could come see the show!
 We love our ballerina!
Grandma saw our star as well!

Another amazing show!  Here are a few pictures of some of our favorite acts:
