We took a whirlwind trip to Michigan so I could take our oldest nephew's Senior Pictures and leave Grandma there for a visit! We have been planning this for about a year, but had to wait until he got his braces off.
A few days before leaving, we found out Nathan's high school orientation interfered with our trip, so Brian took us to Michigan and then went home to get Nathan. They arrived the following day.
The first evening we were there, we attended the Street Fair and watched Cole play the cello with a couple of his friends. They have done this several times this summer and it is a really neat event. We were really impressed with them and so were many other people! They have made a good deal of money each time (people leave donations in a violin case).
There were other fun things to do as we walked around... The kids got balloon animals, we saw other performers dancing and/or singing, someone was juggling, and we had a yummy frozen yogurt treat!
The boys tried out some musical instruments!
At their house, the kids all loved playing with Squirt!
Smiley!
I brought an interesting Jelly Bean game for the boys to play. It was a little much for Cole so he bowed out, but Wes and Nathan fully participated. Samuel and Lucas thought they wanted to play, and did for a bit, until their luck ran out and it got to be too much.
The spinned a spinner and got a color of jelly bean to try. It was either something gross or something normal but they didn't know until they ate it.

I took some pictures of Cole on their property and some at the State Park beach. Afterwards we grabbed a picture of he & I to mark the occasion and one of my big sis and I.
Now, a sneak peek of Cole's pictures... a full post coming in a few weeks!
