We were anxious to add a kitten to our family and searched around for a while until we thought we had found the perfect one. The Humane Shelter had named her "Bread" (her twin brother was "Butter"), so the kids worked together and decided to call her "Willow Storm Bread".
She was the most mellow kitten I had ever seen, and very loving.
Riding home on Nathan's lap. She hardly cried...
She slept all covered up and loved to snuggle with us.
She let Gracie do just about anything to her. She was extremely passive and tolerant.
Unfortunately, she was not well. We don't know what was wrong with her, but she only played for about 15 minutes total in the week she lived with us. She ate fine when she was confined to a small room, but one we let her roam in a larger area, she didn't seem to know where to find her food. She always found her litter box however. She lost weight rather than gaining. She slept nearly all the time.
We loved her, but had to draw the line when she bit both my Mother and Lucas, completely unprovoked, and drew blood.
We still loved her, but couldn't have an animal we couldn't trust or that the kids would be afraid of, so we took her back.
Goodbye sweet Willow!
