Lucas has given up his "bu" (aka plug, aka monkey plug, aka pacifier). He has been extremely attached to it for the longest time though for a while now he's only been allowed to have it at naptime and bedtime. We've been telling him for a while that one day it would go bye bye so the other day I told him it had finally happened. He handled it just fine. Thankfully he has continued to sleep really well, which was our biggest concern. Though he does now have some talk time in his bed before falling asleep. He did cry a single tear over his plug and he got to pick out a small toy for doing such a great job!
Christmas 2011 (Monkey Plug)
I did actually remove the plug part from the monkey and later on I will sew up it's mouth and give it back to him for just a little stuffed animal.
